José Antonio Fernandez is a highly accomplished tennis professional, coach, author, and mental fitness expert with a career spanning over 25 years. He played on the ATP tour for 12 years, reaching a career-high rank of 202 in 1991, and was a member of the Chilean Davis Cup team from 1986-1992. In 1979, he won the Orange Bowl World Championship for Juniors. After retiring from the pro tour, he transitioned into coaching, emphasizing the human aspect of the tennis player. He spent 15 years as Director of Tennis at a prestigious German club and later founded SPORTmind©, a program focused on developing players from the inside out. Fernandez notably coached Steffi Graf and worked to maximize the potential of numerous promising junior players. He served as an Official Agent for the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar until 2018 and was part of the Tennium Tennis Platform from 2018-2020.
