Michael Millar is a versatile professional with careers in acting, stunts, music, academia, and professional coaching. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous productions, including feature films like "Martin's Day" (1985), where he played Cop 2, "Judgment Day: The Ellie Nesler Story" (1999), in which he portrayed a Methamphetamine Expert, and "Clearcut" (1991), where he was News Cameraman #1. His television credits include roles in "The Twilight Zone" (1985), appearing as a Detective in a 1989 episode, "To Make Matters Worse" (2022 TV Mini Series), playing Joe and Delivery Man Miguel in two episodes, "Air Crash Investigation" (2015 TV Series), as Captain Evans for one episode, "True Crime Scene" (2007 TV Series) as Dr. Markestyne in one episode, "Recipe for a Perfect Christmas" (2005 TV Movie), "1-800-Missing" (2004 TV Series) as Will Connors in one episode, "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" (2003 TV Series) as Neighbor in one episode, "Jasper, Texas" (2003 TV Movie) as Charlie Nicholson, "Brian's Song" (2001 TV Movie) as Doctor Fox, "The Third Miracle" (1999) as a Priest (Plaza Hotel), "Due South" (1998 TV Series) as Andy in one episode, and "Forever Knight" (1993 TV Series) as Max Henkel in one episode. He also played Robert McNamara in "Georgetown" (2019) and Salesman 2 in the short film "45" (2017). In addition to acting, Millar has stunt experience, including combat choreography for "The Edge" (1985). Beyond his work in film and television, Michael Millar is a respected figure in the music industry and academia. Since 2004, he has been a music industry faculty member at Cal Poly Pomona and has served as Director of the University’s Center for Community Engagement. As a freelance bass trombonist, his performance credits are extensive, featuring collaborations with renowned artists such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Harry James, Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, Tony Bennett, Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers, Jerry Lewis, Artie Shaw, and Ray Charles. He was part of Southwest Chamber Music's 2004 Grammy Award-winning CD, Carlos Chávez: Complete Chamber Works, Vol. 2. He is also an ICF certified Executive & Professional Development Coach, specializing in serving the creative industries. Furthermore, Michael Millar acts as an education/artist clinician for Conn-Selmer, Inc., conducting numerous workshops on entrepreneurship, community engagement, and professional development at various universities and conferences. He holds civic responsibilities as an Arts Commissioner for the City of Santa Clarita and co-chairs the Committee on Career Development & Entrepreneurship for the College Music Society.
