With 27 years of coaching experience, initially in tennis before transitioning to Padel in 2020, Ross is dedicated to developing players at all stages, from beginners to advanced competitors. He is also a leading open-category player in Scotland, having represented Scotland in the Padel 4 Nations and Great Britain in Senior World and European Championships.

Full Bio

Ross Murdoch, from Edinburgh, has been appointed as the Club Manager and coach at Game4Padel's Edinburgh Park and Thistle Padel Club venues, commencing his new role on Monday, September 4th. Murdoch is a highly experienced coach with 27 years of coaching experience, initially in tennis before transitioning to padel in 2020. He is a highly respected tennis coach and was a key member of the East of Scotland men’s tennis team, helping them achieve and maintain a Division One spot in the LTA summer county cup and British Championship. Murdoch took up padel approximately seven years ago and has since become one of Scotland’s leading open-category players and finest exponents of the game. He was selected to represent Scotland in the 2026 Padel 4 Nations and has also represented Great Britain in the over-45 age group at both the Senior World and European Championships, partnering Mark Oppenshaw in the Open Pairs at the European Championships in Valencia from October 19-26. In his new role at Game4Padel, a primary mission for Murdoch is to develop and grow a vibrant junior padel program, which he believes is crucial for the sport's long-term growth and sustainability in Scotland. He plans to introduce junior sessions for ages five up to teenage years, with six or seven sessions per week. He is also keen to grow overall participation through his coaching, emphasizing the social aspects and ease of picking up padel, especially for those new to racket sports. Ross is a fully qualified Padelmba coach, holding a CPC (Certified Padel Coach) qualification. He will spend a day on court at each venue, delivering junior content, adult coaching, and one-to-one individual lessons.
