He has 27 years of coaching experience, starting in tennis before transitioning to Padel in 2020. Ross has established himself as one of Scotland’s leading open-category players, representing Scotland in the 2026 Padel 4 Nations and Great Britain at both the Senior World and European Championships. He offers both group and individual coaching tailored to players at every stage, from complete beginners to advanced tournament competitors.
Kids Programme
Ross Murdoch's key mission is to establish and expand a vibrant junior padel programme, which will include new junior sessions starting September 4th, offering six or seven sessions weekly for participants ranging from approximately five years old up to their teenage years, aiming to introduce young people to padel early for long-term game growth.

Game4Padel Edinburgh Park offers 2 covered padel courts that are open all year round and feature artificial grass surfacing. Floodlights are available for use, and rackets can be borrowed on site.

Ross Murdoch is the Club Manager and Head Coach at Game4Padel's Edinburgh Park and Thistle Padel Club venues. He is an Edinburgh-born, Johannesburg-raised individual and a highly respected tennis coach with 27 years of experience. He took up padel approximately five to seven years ago and has since become one of Scotland’s finest exponents and leading open-category padel players. Ross is a fully qualified Padelmba coach (Certified Padel Coach - CPC). He commenced his new post at Game4Padel on Monday, September 4th. A key mission for him is to grow a vibrant junior padel program, which he believes is crucial for the game's growth and sustainability in Scotland. He plans to introduce junior padel sessions starting at a 'mini' age (around five) up to the teenage years, aiming for six or seven junior sessions a week to build the game long term. He is committed to increasing participation through his coaching efforts. As part of his dual coaching appointment, he will dedicate a day on court at each venue, delivering junior content, adult coaching, and one-to-one individual lessons. He is also assembling a team of three other coaches to help develop the program over time. Ross has competed extensively in padel in the last 18 months (as of the article's context) and enjoys the social aspects of the doubles game, noting the transferability of his tennis skills to padel. He has been selected to represent Great Britain in the senior Padel European Championships in Valencia, Spain, from October 19-26, playing in the over-45 age group with Mark Oppenshaw. He was also selected for the World Championships in Alicante the previous year. In his tennis career, he was a key member of the East of Scotland men’s team, which reached and remained in Division One of the LTA summer county cup. More recently, as a member of the Thistle club, he helped the East of Scotland men's team preserve their place in Division One of the British Championship. He was also part of the G4P Thistle men's team that secured their place in Division One of the LTA National League Finals after finishing 5th. He represented Scotland in the 2026 Padel 4 Nations, contributing to a key win alongside Sam McNeill.
