This place is a true gem, a volunteer-run hub where you can borrow from their ever-growing collection of hundreds of board games – currently over 500 – to take home and enjoy with your mates or family. It's only open on Thursday evenings from 6-8 PM, so plan your visit, but it's well worth getting an annual membership to dive into their amazing selection and try out all those games you've been curious about without having to buy them. Plus, it's all about sharing and community, which is just fantastic!

The Edinburgh Board Game Library is a volunteer-led organization located in Room 2 of the Southside Community Centre at 117 Nicolson Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9ER, United Kingdom. It operates as a lending library for board games, aiming to increase access to board games regardless of income, introduce games to new audiences, allow people to try games before buying, and promote a circular economy. The library is wheelchair accessible and holds an inventory of hundreds of board games, currently over 500 and continuously growing. Members can borrow games for 7 or 14 days at a time. The library is open every Thursday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM, which are the only hours visitors should come. Membership is required to borrow games, with two options available: a Regular Membership for £25 per year, allowing borrowing of up to 4 games at a time, and a Concession Membership for £15 per year for those in full-time education, receiving benefits, or over 65 years old.
