Hotel du Vin Edinburgh is a luxury boutique hotel located at 11 Bristo Place, Edinburgh EH1 1EZ, in the heart of the city's historic Old Town. The building was originally constructed in 1743 and has a remarkable history, having served as a poorhouse, an asylum, and a science laboratory before being transformed into a stunning hotel. It is a historic building and is wheelchair accessible. The hotel offers 47 individually styled rooms and suites, each meticulously designed with custom-made sleigh beds, hand-sprung mattresses, soft Egyptian cotton linens, plush towels and robes. Many rooms feature a monsoon shower and an in-room roll top bath. Room types include Classic Double, Deluxe Double, Junior Suite, Suite, and Signature Suite. All rooms include a Plasma TV, Egyptian linen, luxury private bathroom, air conditioning, minibar, safe, telephone, flatscreen TV, complimentary toiletries, and hairdryer. Free fast WiFi is available throughout the property. Dining is centered around the Bistro du Vin, a chic French-style restaurant serving classical French dishes and produce sourced from the Lothian region, including Berwick lamb and pork.
