Hotel du Vin Edinburgh is a luxury 4-star boutique hotel located at 11 Bristo Place, EH1 1EZ, in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town, a short walk from the Royal Mile. The building itself is distinctive, dating back to 1743 and having previously served as a poorhouse, an asylum, and a science lab before becoming a hotel. It offers 47 uniquely designed rooms and suites, each featuring custom-made sleigh beds, hand-sprung mattresses, Egyptian cotton linens, plush towels, robes, monsoon showers, and in-room roll-top baths. The hotel provides various amenities including a trademark Hotel du Vin Bistro that serves modern classic French dishes using local Lothian produce, a mezzanine bar, private dining options, a Whisky Snug, and a heated Cigar Bothy (note: Cigar Bothy closed from 30th July - 3rd September). Guests can also enjoy free, fast WiFi. The central courtyard transforms into an al fresco dining area during the Scottish summer. Hotel du Vin Edinburgh is also equipped with characterful function rooms suitable for business meetings and grand celebrations. It is wheelchair accessible and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hotel is cashless, accepting only credit/debit cards and digital payments.
