The facility features four newly refurbished, all-weather outdoor tennis courts with tarmac surfaces and no floodlights. Additionally, Inverleith Park includes a full-size pitch, a rugby pitch, and a cricket square, all with grass surfaces. The park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers wheelchair accessibility and available parking. The tennis courts were reopened in September 2023 following a substantial renovation. This renovation was managed by the LTA and jointly funded by the City of Edinburgh Council, the UK Government, and the LTA Tennis Foundation as part of the wider Parks Tennis Project, which aims to transform 13 courts across the capital. Inverleith Park Tennis Courts offer free, social tennis sessions every weekend, designed for all ages, with no partner or equipment needed. There are also brand-new junior and adult tennis coaching programmes available, including free Park Tennis on Sundays at 10 am. Courts can be booked up to 7 days in advance for a charge of £1 per hour. Membership is available and provides booking benefits, although it is a membership with the venue/local authority, not the LTA itself. To receive a refund for a court booking, cancellation must occur more than 24 hours in advance. For problems with the gate code, users are advised to contact the facility. Children under the age of 13 using the court outside of organised activities are recommended to be supervised by a parent or known adult, in line with NSPCC guidelines.
